Fungal Whimsy
You're a small shroom, exploring the vast depths of a dense mushroom forest filled with musky smells and humid spells. Maybe you'll find a star or two for your fungal crest?
Entry for the Löve Game Jam 2024. Not using the optional game jam theme ("interface").
Controls:
- Walk: arrow keys
- Jump: Space
- Dash: C
- Respawn/Restart: R
- Exit game: Escape
- Mute: M
- Fullscreen: F
Advanced mechanics (spoilers):
- Holding jump on jump pads boosts their jump height
- Jumping while dashing on ground boosts dash length
- Jump shortly after dropping off ledges (coyote time)
Known Problems: collisions are sometimes buggy.
All art, music, code, levels and sound-effects were made by Richard Baltrusch, with the exception of the dash crystal and jump pad sound effects (credits to https://www.freesfx.co.uk/). Font by Kenney.
